My screen printed Angel started from a sketch I initially did in pencil and then ink. Everything I produce starts this way and I get through lots of tippex on route! I normally sketch ideas and then re-draw the neat versions in my local Tangerine cafe, sitting upstairs looking down on Totnes high street with all it's Elizabethan buildings. My images are then transferred onto acetate and are then exposed onto silk screens for screen printing. The obvious challenge is to make sure the flat design can work made into a stuffed toy!

Have been screen printing some new Christmas cards - 'Mollie in her Christmas apron' and 'Christmas Stars'. These cards are quite large and are now available for £2 each from my site. I've also been trying out some new fabric inks and a new screen from a wonderful online shop called Handprinted. They're worth a look as they offer great products at a very reasonable price. They've also got a good starter kit for beginners.

My new copy of Mollie Makes Issue 20 has just been delivered and it's a wonderful Christmas issue with a free catalogue by Selina Lake. I was pleased to see my Santas and my good friend Samantha Stas. She's showing how to make a wonderful collar (as shown in the photos of her below). She has a super etsy shop here.

Am starting to add some new children's items to my etsy site here ready for Christmas. These mini cats are made from some striking original 50s linen diamond fabric. Will continue to add more over the next few days.
