Homage to Lucienne Day - died January 30th 2010

I'm so sad that Lucienne Day has died. She's always been my favourite designer and I've absolutely loved her work. She's been a true inspiration and is a huge loss to the design world. I'm going to frame some of her fabrics to put on my study wall to pay homage to her. Here are a few that I've collected that I will frame.

50s Sylvia Chalmers fabric cushion

Here's a cushion I've made from some 50s fabric that I believe to be designed by Sylvia Chalmers. Here fabrics are in the new V&A fabric patterns book.

Jane Foster's vintage fabric apple bags

I've just made these bags from original vintage 70's flower fabric and panels strong cotton apple fabric, also dating from the 70s. These shoulder bags are fully lined and have a bright red cord fabric reverse. They are now available from my website.
